Coils will be pre-banded with 1.5" banding,
    3-4 bands per coil

Mode of operation:

     A coil will enter the coil stackers hydraulically driven roller 
conveyor after being banded. It will then be positioned by a centering
 mechanism aligning the coil to be lifted. The hydraulically operated 
lift mechanism will lower and lift the coil by both the I.D and the 
O.D. edges of the coil. The "grab" and lift portion of the stacker is 
actuated by hydraulic cylinders. The traversing function will be 
driven by a hydraulic motor and a rack and pinion system for positve 
location.  The stacker will lift the coil, traverse it over the 
turntable, lower and release the coil then return to lift the next 
coil that will have been positioned.
     The turntable will have 8 Positions on which 72" O.D. coils can 
be stacked. The turntable will be equiped with a hydraulic push-off to
 transfer the stacked coils onto an exit conveyor for fork truck 
removal.

Lift and grab fetures are hydraulic cylinder actuated
Transfer mechanism actuated by hydraulic motor and rack and
     pinion which will constantly give feed-back to PLC for
     positive location. All electrics and hydraulics will be
     housed in cat track for traverse mechanism.
Roller conveyor is driven by hydraulic motor, chain and
     sprocket.  Rolls are 4" diameter x .250 wall thickness.
     Mathews conveyor bearings which have a 2,200# load
     per bearing. A 1.25" Hex shaft is used.
Centering device assures location of coil for lift mechanism
Unit will stack multiple coil.

Turntable:
8 coil position capacity @ 72" O.D.
Turntable is mounted to a center pivot bearing which will also
     support the hydraulic push-off.
The turntable will ride commercial carrier wheels
Rotation will be driven by hydraulic motor and chain

Electrics:
440V, 3Ph, 60Hz
Equipment will be controlled by an Allen Bradley SLC 504 at
     110V, 1Ph, 60Hz.
Equipment can be run in automatic or manual mode
